COLLABORATIONS


2010-2011

Collaboration  with che CNRS, Collège de France, laboratory LCMCP (Laboratoire de Chimique de la Matière Condensée de Paris) for the sound installation Les invisibles, part of the exposition Invisible et insaisissable realized at Centre des Arts d’Enghien les Bains, for the project OpenLab. For this installation, he worked on sound interpretation of signals obtained with Magnetic Nuclear Resonance, an instrument used in the study of atomic environments in liquids and solids. The output frequencies produced in this analysis can resonate, according to the studied atom, in the frequency domain and are used to realize an original sound synthesis method en real time, in collaboration with the Italian researcher Carmine Emanuele Cella.

Collaboration as a composer and electronic music performer with the choreograph Ghislaine Avan and the company Tempo Cantabile for J’ai parcouru seule le cercle du ciel, multimedia opera for dance - music and video, based on Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri.

Artistic director of the discography label XXI Musicale (http://www.ventunesimomusicale.it/), devoted to the contemporary and electronic music, at first distributed by EMI Music Italy and actually by Halidon, in collaboration with the Italian Radio (RAI) and IMAIE (Institute for the protection of right of performer artists).

Collaboration with the pianist Andrea Corazziari for the composition of a cycle of Studies for piano.

1995 - 2006

Collaboration, as a composer, with the Faculty of Psychology of University La Sapienza in Rome for an educational project, sponsored by the European Community, focused on teaching languages to children with the aid of music (The adventures of Hocus & Lotus). The project was experimented in various European schools and on this music the Italian Television (RAI) produced three series of cartoons (The adventures of Hocus & Lotus) broadcasted on RAI 3).

RESEARCHES


2009 - 2013

Composer in research at Ircam - Paris in the field of modal synthesis in real time and on the interaction between gesture and sound in real time.

Two kind of instruments realized:

-the Geecos, allowing the musician to control realtime sound synthesis and inner modulation of sound through audio analysis of hands’ gestures on a rigid surface;

-the Keecos, allowing the musician to control realtime sound synthesis and inner modulation of sound through video analysis of hands’ gestures in the air.
